The exceptional blend of natural beauty, historic and sacred grounds, access to informed, reverent native guides and spiritually committed facilitators created an unforgettable week of self discovery and connection with powerful, contributing people who have become an extended family. I would go anywhere with this family of friends and know that I would be safe and cared for -- spiritually and practically. The joy was contagious! Unity Rising provided the opportunity for a trip of a lifetime. It was a harmonious balance of exploring beautiful new people and places, journeying through the stories and wisdom of a local guide and sharing the experience with a group of spiritual peers that quickly became good friends. Truly it nourished my heart, my soul and my desire for adventure. The teachings, ceremonies and connections with the group transformed a trip to Peru to one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. In a beautiful western United States setting and through Kristin's thoughtful guidance, I was able to see the need to drop old habits and begin new spiritual practices. Although I have traveled to many other places in this world for many years, the two trips I took with Unity Rising are two of the most memorable and meaningful. Spiritually challenging, spiritually enriching, spiritually awakening, and spiritually connecting.... in each and every one of my adventures I discover and rediscover the richness and beauty in all creation. Traveling with Unity Rising is an experience of feeling connected to Spirit through adventure. Mindful travel at its' best! The experiences are a wonderful opportunity "to say YES to life" everyday! In need of spiritual retreat, silence, and time to "Let go! Let God!", UNITY Rising gave me the right and perfect vehicle to engage Spirit, embrace Love, and encourage Light in my life. There is nothing like being in nature on a bicycle. Add a group of spiritually like-minded individuals riding with spiritual intention and yoga and meditation to start and end my day and I’m in heaven. The experiences on our Unity Rising trip created new and deeper bonds within the group that have endured long past the journey. My Unity Rising trip was an experience I still treasure to this day. The retreat center was so serene and lovely. Having a variety of activities to choose from was ideal and it is especially nice to feel no pressure to take part in activities if downtime is preferred. Traveling with a group of likeminded individuals was the best part. I’d do it again in a heartbeat! The combination of travel to a new place with a spiritual guide and practices turns trips into spiritual journeys. Unity Rising really is spiritual travel - an incredible combination of new places, new people, new ideas and expanded insights. My experiences truly opened my heart, mind and spirit. The trip helped me to ground and re-focus spiritually. The connections were powerful, beyond words, with the people, the land and the energy of Peru. It was a trip of love and inspiration for me. Thank you Kristin, for another life changing, heart healing, spirit growing, fun time. Let’s go again! I have been blessed to go on a few Unity Rising trips with Rev. Kristin Powell. Each one was a life-changing, heart-shifting experience that has helped me on my path to heal, bond and grow with Spirit. I am thankful for the deep, heart-connecting friendships I have made on these Unity Rising adventures. What fun! All I had to do was get a few people to sponsor me on my hike in Machu Picchu and collectively we contributed to a South American family’s spiritual education. I appreciated having this opportunity to give back to the local community. I loved the variety of the experience. We met wonderful people, ate fabulous meals and stayed in nice hotels. Everyone on the trip got along so well and helped each other by sharing our personal experiences. I think the most amazing part was to interact with and observe a group of Peruvians that seemed so appreciative of what little they had. I experienced so many emotions on the trip. Self-growth occurred by experiencing the shaman’s personal interaction with his healing techniques. I learned to let go of fears. Rev. Kristin provided a very organized trip. It was nice to have an itinerary to follow so all I had to do was show up, mentally, physically and spiritually. I was amazed at the scenery and I laughed a lot as well as meditated. I still think about my experience and hope to go on another Unity Rising trip in the near future. Rev Kristin and her team organised a wonderful retreat in October of 2009 to Sedona in which I was blessed to take part. The travel arrangements were well thought out, some of us joining the group from another country. The retreat in Sedona was housed at the Angel Valley where Michael and Amayra, together with their staff; did their very best to make all of us feel completely at home and comfortable. The food was created, not simply cooked; and every day we were inquisitive as to what was served at any of the mealtimes! We were not disappointed. The living arrangements were simple, clean and restful. Rev Kristin arranged excursions and presentations, all done by local people who were all experts in their field. I had a wonderful time, experienced something wonderful every day and heartily recommend traveling with the group.
